Hydroxyapatite, alginate and gelatin composites used for bone regeneration: a systematic review
نویسندگان
چکیده
Aim: to investigate and describe, through a systematic review, the biological behavior osteogenic potential of composite biomaterials containing hydroxyapatite (HA), alginate gelatin, in different associations, after vivo implantation. Materials Methods: for search selection articles, Medical Literature Analysis Retrieval System Online (PubMed/MEDLINE) Scientific Electronic Library (SciELO) databases were used, published between 2012 2022, using descriptors: “bone regeneration”; “biocompatible material”; “durapatite”; “alginate”; “gelatin”. Initially, an association was made with Boolean operator "OR" descriptors their respective entry terms, considering that MeSH DeCS platforms use terms refer same keywords. Subsequently, "AND" used nine associations descriptors. Results: during searches, 1939 articles located. After inclusion exclusion criteria, 16 studies included review. The main themes found searches were: HA Alginate; Gelatin; HA, Alginate Zinc; Gelatin mesenchymal cells; Chitosan; Silk Fibrin; titanium dioxide; Gelatin. It observed when associated or has improved its properties. Final Considerations: composites gelatin provide range applications promising strategies applied bone repair. Studies have shown these great application Bone Tissue Bioengineering.

A Review on Commonly Used Scaffolds in Tissue Engineering for Bone Tissue Regeneration
Introduction: Bone is one of the tissues that have a true potential for regeneration. However, sometimes the bone defects are so outsized that there is no chance of bone self-repair and restoration or the damage is such that it is not possible to repair with medical or surgical interventions. In these situations, bone grafts are the treatment of choice, but due to several obstacles, including l...
متن کاملBioactive composites for bone regeneration. Review.
Beside auto- and allogeneic bone chips used for filling bone lesions or to enhance of bone regeneration, various types of ceramics, natural and synthetized bone mineral hydroxyapatite and tricalcium phosphate, as well as numerous polymers and co-polymers of alfa-hydroxy acids are widely used. These materials in a pure form demonstrate good osteoconductivity, but very rarely are osteoinductive. ...
متن کاملGelatin/hydroxyapatite nanocomposite scaffolds for bone repair
The use of bioscaffolds for tissue repair is widely accepted. They can provide structural stability and a 3D system on which cells can grow new tissue. Natural bone is composed of organic (mainly collagen) and mineral biomaterials (predominantly carbonate hydroxyapatite, HA). In recent years, developments in 3D porous-scaffold manufacturing have increased hopes of successful fabrication of stru...
متن کاملComposite Scaffolds Containing Silk Fibroin, Gelatin, and Hydroxyapatite for Bone Tissue Regeneration and 3D Cell Culturing
Three-dimensional (3D) silk fibroin scaffolds were modified with one of the major bone tissue derivatives (nano-hydroxyapatite) and/or a collagen derivative (gelatin). Adhesion and proliferation of mouse embryonic fibroblasts (MEF) within the scaffold were increased after modification with either nano-hydroxyapatite or gelatin. However, a significant increase in MEF adhesion and proliferation w...
متن کاملGuided bone regeneration: A literature review
Guided bone regeneration (GBR) is a reconstructive procedure of alveolar ridge using membranes. This procedure is indicated when there is no sufficient bone for implantation, or in the case of optimal implant installation for esthetic or functional needs. GBR can be performed before implant placement, when there is not enough bone for initial stability of implants and less predictable outcomes ...
